Two Gloucestershire people, with input from others,  compiled this neighbourhood prayer, drawing on several sources and remembering the early days Jesus spent sharing in the life of his village, Nazareth.

Bless, we pray, all the people and activities of our neighbourhood.

Grant that in every home your name may be respected and your will done.

Let us never forget to thank you for the beauty around us.

Bless those who supply our daily needs – in shops, on the land, on the buses and by deliveries at our doors.

Bless those who can no longer get out on their own and support those who care for them.

Bless our schools and their teachers and our leaders of the many organisations which keep our community together.

And especially we ask you to bless our church and all who come to worship ad serve you.

Help us all to be good neighbours, loving others as you have loved us.
